MCTS announces bus routes connecting Juneteenth events to Summerfest grounds

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee County Transit System will provide three route combinations Thursday, June 19 to help riders travel from Juneteenth Day celebrations to even more celebrations taking place at the Summerfest grounds.
Summerfest’s Juneteenth programming begins at 6 p.m. Thursday, June 19.
MCTS announced Monday, June 16 that service to the Summerfest grounds is accessible by transfers from Route 19 to CONNECT 1 BRT, Route 19 to Route 33 or Route 22 to Route 14.
Each option stops within walking distance of the Summerfest North Gate entrance.
Riders can expect buses every 15 to 30 minutes throughout the day. Standard fare is $2, with a $1 reduced fare for those who qualify. Information about detours and real-time planning tools is available through RideMCTS.com and the Umo mobile app.
