EAGLE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Old World Wisconsin is a living history museum that creates a different past-time experience with each season. Right now, the grounds are in bloom with spring.
Starting Saturday, May 17, you’ll be able to visit a tavern that was restored to what it might have looked like in the 1900’s.
“We’re typically 1840’s-1910. So, now we’ve jumped forward to the 1930’s and 40’s so it’s exploring a new time period, and all that decor has to offer, but it also is bringing such a Wisconsin staple of a tavern to our site for the first time,” said Jennifer Young, the collections and exhibits coordinator at Old World Wisconsin.
The chicks are chirping, and the animal encounter is ready with heritage breed bunnies, pigs and more for guests to visit and pet.
Wisconsin Historical Society members get in free to Old World Wisconsin and all moms get in free this Mother’s Day.
